LOCAL NEWS NETWORK (LNN) APPROVED FOR FUNDING AS PART OF THE COLORADO’S ADVANCED INDUSTRIES ACCELERATOR GRANT PROGRAM.

May 21, 2020 - Durango, CO - Local NEWS Network (LNN) is 1 of 27 Colorado Companies approved for an Early Stage Capital and Retention award in the amount of $100,000 through the Advanced Industries (AI) Accelerator Program.

The Durango-based LNN, which has local Affiliate Partners in Durango, Telluride, Cortez and Pagosa Springs, will use this grant to expand their local news media platform to additional Colorado towns in the coming months. LNN is helping these towns create jobs, rebuild their local news with good news stories, help local businesses promote themselves locally and retain advertising dollars in their communities.

“The Advanced Industry grants expand Colorado’s vital innovation ecosystem where this very innovation drives economic growth,” said Katie Woslager, senior manager – Advanced Industries. “These cutting-edge companies create jobs and leverage additional investment into the state, proving to be true economic engines contributing to Colorado’s economy.”

LNN is participating in this years SCAPE accelerator program and plans to expand to its business into 50+ towns in the next 36 months.

“Now more than ever, small towns need informative information about their communities and region” said Laurie Sigillito, CEO of LNN. “This OEDIT Grant allows us to work with local Chambers or individuals, to rebuild a sustainable news venue across Colorado.”
