LOCAL NEWS NETWORK (LNN) EXPANDS ACROSS SOUTHWEST COLORADO

March 7, 2020 - Durango, CO - Local NEWS Network (LNN) announces its local news network platform is now reaching viewers in four locations across Southwest Colorado: Durango, Telluride, Montezuma County, and Pagosa Springs.

The Durango-based LNN, which launched in April 2019 has expanded into Telluride, Colorado and Montezuma County, Colorado in 2019 and recently added a fourth location in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The company plans to add 4 more locations in 2020 and expand up to 50 locations in the next 36 months, creating 150 new jobs along the way.

LNN is focused on the small towns across the USA that have little or no daily news reporting for its LNN network expansion. There towns are located in the 2,000 counties in the US which have seen their daily newspapers and local TV stations fold or drastically cut back local news reporting in the last 15 years, according to the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media (https://www.usnewsdeserts.com/reports/expanding-news-desert/loss-of-local-news/). By bringing a new model to these small towns, one that creates local news stories that matters to them and then leverages technology to distribute the stories into the community, LNN can help these towns prosper and come together.

“LNN is committed to keeping citizens informed with relevant local news, creating local jobs, keeping advertising dollars local, building community, and inspiring hometown pride,” says co-founder and CEO, Laurie Sigillito.

**** About Local NEWS Network The Local NEWS Network has launched a profitable business model for bringing local news that matters to small towns across the USA, one which creates original local news in short-form video format and then delivers it directly to the town using a network of digital displays in high traffic retail locations.

The executive leadership team includes co- founders, Laurie Sigillito (CEO) and Bert Carder (COO), Deborah Uroda (News Director), and Nathan Morris (CTO). To learn more, visit https://www.thelocalnews.us
